First Contact
(Day 1-2)
You reach out to KAS. We gather basic information about your child and your insurance and answer any initial questions you have. No commitment required.

Benefits Verification
(Day 2-5)
Our team contacts your insurance on your behalf to verify your ABA benefits, understand your deductible and co-pay and confirm authorization requirements. We report back to you with a clear summary of your coverage before anything else moves forward.
Assessment Authorization
(Days 5-10)
We submit a request to your insurance for permission to conduct your child's initial assessment. Most insurers respond within 3-7 business days.
The Assessment
(Week 2-3)
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with you and your child to conduct a comprehensive evaluation. This is an observation-based process—not a test that your child can pass or fail. You'll have plenty of opportunity to share what you know about your child. This is one of the most important steps, and we take it seriously.

Treatment Plan Development
(Week 3-4)
Based on the assessment, your BCBA develops a personalized treatment plan with specific, meaningful goals for your child. We review this plan with you before submitting to insurance—because you should understand and agree with every goal before therapy begins.

Treatment Authorization
(Week 4-6)
We submit the treatment plan to your insurance for approval. This typically takes 7-14 business days. Our team follows up proactively and handles any requests for additional information.
Scheduling & Staff Match
(Week 6-7)
Once approved, we work with you to build a therapy schedule that fits your family's life. We also take care in matching your child with the right therapist—someone who fits their personality and needs.
Therapy Begins
(Week 7-8)
Your child starts services. The first few sessions focus on building rapport and getting comfortable—we never rush this. You'll receive regular updates and be involved in every step of the way.
